The Argentina national football team, referred to as Selección de fútbol de Argentina in Spanish, represents Argentina in men’s international football and is under the jurisdiction of the Argentine Football Association, the governing body for football in the country.

Nicknamed La Albiceleste (‘The White and Sky Blue’), Argentina boasts a rich footballing legacy, recently crowned world champions after clinching the 2022 World Cup, marking their third triumph, symbolized by the third star on their crest. With six appearances in World Cup finals, Argentina shares this record with Italy, surpassed only by Brazil and Germany. Their journey in World Cups began in 1930, reaching the final in their inaugural appearance but falling short to Uruguay.
