Jamaica Initiative

The 2026 "Freedom To Play" Project: Presented by Eso Soccer & Bridgeview Foundation

jamaica-initiative

Blessed Day!

We hope this message finds you well and thanks for your interest. On behalf of Eso Soccer, in partnership with Bridgeview Foundation, we are proud to invite you to learn about and support an upcoming community initiative titled “Support Jamaica – A Week of Football & Community.” This effort will take place in East Jamaica and is designed to bring people together through youth development, football, and community volunteerism. The week of activities will include several initiatives aimed at supporting both grassroots football and community engagement:

1) FIFA WORLD CUP PLAYOFF WATCH PARTIES
These watch parties will bring the community together to support the national team in an uplifting and family-friendly environment.

+ March 26th: Jamaica vs New Caledonia (8:00–11:00 PM)
+ March 31th: Jamaica vs DR Congo (pending Jamaica’s advancement)

2) LOCAL SOCCER FIELD RESTORATION & COMMUNITY CLEAN-UP
Volunteers will work together to restore and clean the local football pitch, creating a safer and more welcoming space for youth and community activities.

+ March 27th: (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM) @Maryland Football Field

3) YOUTH SOCCER CAMP, U-16 TOURNAMENT & ADULT EXHIBITION MATCH
The youth tournament will feature four local Under-16 teams and will be accompanied by a youth development football camp and an adult exhibition match to close the day.

+ March 29th: (12:00 PM – 8:00 PM) @Maryland Football Field

These activities will be held at Bridgeview Wonders and the Maryland Football Field in Maryland District, East Rural St. Andrew, Jamaica, and are part of a broader effort to strengthen community pride, encourage youth participation in sports, and promote positive social engagement.

We invite you to be part of this initiative. Whether through a donation, sponsorship, or in-kind partnership, your support will directly help restore community infrastructure, provide opportunities for youth development through football, and bring the community together in a meaningful way.

If you would like to donate, sponsor, or learn more about how you can support the initiative, please follow the links below or contact our team directly. Together, we can help ensure that every young player in Maryland District has a safe field, a supportive community, and the freedom to play.

SUPPORT THE ESOSOCCER JAMAICA WATCH PARTIES

March 26th 2026, 5pm PT / 8pm ET

Watch Party #1 – Jamaica vs New Caledonia

Location: Bridgeview Wonders, Maryland District, Jamaica

On March 26, the community will gather at Bridgeview Wonders to watch Jamaica take on New Caledonia in a World Cup qualifying match. This watch party will serve as the first major community event of the initiative, bringing together youth, families, and local football fans to celebrate Jamaica’s national team.

The event will provide an opportunity for residents to connect following the soccer field cleanup efforts earlier in the week. For many in the Maryland District, this match represents more than just a game—it’s a moment of pride, unity, and inspiration for the young players participating in the soccer camp.

Sponsors will be recognized during the event through signage, microphone acknowledgments, and community engagement, helping make this gathering possible while celebrating Jamaica’s rich football culture.

March 31st 2026, 11am PT / 2pm ET

Watch Party #2 – Jamaica vs DR Congo

Location: Bridgeview Wonders, Maryland District, Jamaica

If Jamaica advances with a win over New Caledonia on March 26, the community will gather again at Bridgeview Wonders on March 31 to watch the next stage of the World Cup journey. In that event, Jamaica would face DR Congo in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Inter-Confederation Playoff Final, with a place in the World Cup on the line.

Following the youth soccer camp and community field cleanup earlier in the week, the event will bring together families, young players, and football fans of all ages to experience the excitement of international football together. For the youth participants, the watch party provides an opportunity to see how the sport they love connects them to the global stage.

The event will be a celebration of football culture that continues to unite communities across Jamaica and beyond.

Eso Soccer Global Goal

At Eso Soccer, our global goal is to use the game of soccer as a vehicle for meaningful humanitarian support, applying compassion through action from the ground-level up. We believe in promoting human welfare through the world’s most beloved sport, particularly within communities affected by disaster and poverty. Soccer becomes more than a game; it becomes a gathering ground. It becomes a unifying space where people can reconnect, rebuild, and rediscover the simple joys that this beautiful sport can bring.

Philanthropy stands as a pillar of our operations. Through the creative development and improvement of safe playing spaces and community fields, we invest our efforts directly into infrastructure that inevitably fosters opportunity, connection, and growth. These enhanced environments become hubs for engagement, education, and empowerment for the surrounding areas. Once this groundwork is in place, a celebration around the sport will proceed. Eso Soccer will lead camps, training sessions, gatherings and organized matches in effort to bring communities together. Our programming embraces a holistic approach to wellness through soccer, recognizing that true player development extends beyond physical performance. We are committed to nurturing physical health through fitness, strength, nutrition, and hygiene, while placing equal importance on mental wellness through sports psychology principles. By integrating visualization techniques, focus training, confidence-building practices, and mental resilience development, we aim to strengthen both the body and the mind with a sustained and lasting impact.

Eso Soccer operates across borders with a moral desire to elevate lives through the power of the game. We are driven by action-oriented compassion and a willingness to step into challenging environments to spread hope, opportunity, and joy. Our global goal is to create change through the game; one player, one team, one field, one community, one nation at a time.
